News Release: Valentine’s Day for Singles (Denmark)

Posted by anderstryka On January - 25 - 2009

This news release mainly targets Danish readers. However, I know we have quite a few followers that live in Denmark, but mainly speak English, so I hope the Danes will forgive me for keeping this in English.

I am exceptionally proud to announce a joint venture with an incredibly talented woman. For months now, I have been working behind the scenes with the Danish “Power Princess” Lone Rasmussen.

Our goal: To deliver high-class speaks on how to successfully flirt with the opposite sex.

Luckily, our timing is great - Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. What better way to spend the day of love than with other singles dreaming of meeting a new partner? Imagine being pumped full of tools and inspiration for a few hours, the door opens, and you find yourself at a gigantic party for singles only!

At the beginning of the evening, guys and girls will split up. I will speak to the guys, Lone speaks to the girls. Then, all the sudden, we SWITCH - Lone offers immensely valuable information to the guys about their potential, and I spill the beans to the girls and offer some insight into male psychology. Next, we host a party, where all the new information and inspiration will materialize, … new bonds will be created between men and women, … and maybe, just maybe, …

You will meet the partner you’ve always dreamed about!

What can I say about the “Power Princess” ..? She’s a great person, that’s for sure! Lone does speaks for women wanting to lead a more fulfilling life, she is well-known in Denmark as an authority on “flirting,” and she actually hosts courses for women wanting to learn the art of lap-dancing. The second I met Lone, I LOVED her! Insightful, deep and warm to the core. A very rare person that you need to experience live!

If you live in Denmark, if you are single, and if you want to experience an amazing Valentine’s Day, check out the dedicated site for more info about the party and how to sign up!

The Alledged Implosion of the Pickup Coaching Market

Posted by anderstryka On January - 7 - 2009

I recently read a very interesting blog article at Boston PUA, in which the author attempts to explain recent developments in the worldwide seduction community. The article in question offers some explanations on the implosion of the pickup coaching market from an American pickup instructor’s perspective.

One of the key things mentioned in the article mentioned above is that the PUA coaching market has become over-commercialized. Many of my PUA friends around the world tell me that demand for pickup bootcamps has also declined greatly over the last four months. It’s a lot worse in the UK and the states than it is here in Denmark. As a result, many new aspiring pickup artists have set up shop as coaches only to discover how hard it is to succeed. Subsequently, they turn to establishing yet another forum so they can make money on affiliate deals.

The reality behind this trend is that with the launch and global exposure of best-selling book “The Game” by Neil Strauss, our little community changed, and it did so very quickly. The newcomers to the seduction scene are so much more pre-exposed to social success than we ourselves were as newcomers in 1999 (me) -2005 (Entropy). As a result, people with less than a year of exposure to the seduction community are now making fun of the gurus, who are but jokes to them. The guys that did well in 1999 had sex with 10 women a year. Where I was raised, that was normal for many of my friends, not for me. The guys that do well in the present day seduction community have sex with 50 women every year. Well, wooptidoo!

Let me tell you right away that I completely agree with the many socially successful newcomers. Putting yourself on a pedestal; proclaiming that you are a master PUA is ridiculous!

I am not making fun of anyone … in fact I have the utmost respect for “the old guard” for their personal development throughout the years. ALL development must be measured relative to the starting position. However, what’s hilarious is that the marketing of the “gurus” has not followed the development of the market profile. They promote their skills with women, and the result is dissatisfied customers, because the customers are already MORE successful with women than the gurus are.

Please, stop and think for a minute. Is it at all possible that you can be a great pickup artist, but a lousy coach?

A very famous English PUA visited Denmark in 2008, and a friend of mine used the opportunity to arrange a bootcamp with this English guy as a star coach. Some of my former clients attended, and a few weeks later I received an email from one of them asking me why on Earth we are not going global.

“He might be a great pickup artist but what he actually gave me for my money was nothing compared to the learning I got through your questions.”

I can tell you right away that both the English guy and my former client can probably out-game me any day of the week. So what?

This is what the gurus obviously fail to understand, when they set up shop as “coaches”…  In coaching, it does not matter if you are an expert in picking up women. What matters is your desire to understand your client’s model of the world and deliver coaching to suit his needs. I actually know a guy who quit pickup coaching when a guy at his workshop out-gamed him in a set! (One could be tempted to ask, was this man actually coaching his client, or was he pick-pocketing his client’s wallet with some show-boating?)

We recently had a discussion in our team as to where the market is going. This very interesting discussion was spawned by the fact that since the financial crisis kicked in, many of our competitors in the Danish market have suddenly gone very silent. One of my coaches was worried that it would affect us as well, and begged me to initiate a change in our brand values. “The market is eroding. We need to position ourselves as a pickup bootcamp company,” he said, “else we will lose business.”

To me, one of the key things that separate successful pickup artists and successful pickup coaches is the perception of their own ability to reach a result in terms of picking up women.  Poor coaches will need to keep up the appearance that they are successful with women – after all, if they were not, what would they have to sell?

I do not care if I am successful with women or not which, ironically, helps me to be extremely relaxed around women. My main concern for you is that you will meet your desired outcomes in life.

So, here’s what I replied:

“At Powerful Connections, we see seduction as a metaphor for living your potential and, as such, it is a perfect platform to conduct life coaching. The customers are fleeing the market because they decided to have their wallets lifted by one of the many great pickup artists with no clue on how to coach, … instead of engaging one of the very few great coaches that know how to pickup women successfully.”

In fact, I believe the above to be my entire response to the development of the seduction community in 2008. I also believe that it is one of the key foundations upon which we will build our success in 2009.

I know that you will make 2009 a great year in your life and the life of people you meet!

Review: “Powerful Game” similar to martial arts

Posted by anderstryka On December - 25 - 2008

Dear friend,

A few days ago I received a very special Christmas present. A reader of my new eBook “Powerful Game - Strategies of a Highly Successful Pickup Artist” decided to write a full review of the book after reading it and applying the principles in his life. I was amazed to see how the contents of the book touched him, and I feel priviledged that he has let me share this review with you.

The reviewer is 27 years old and lives in Denmark. Here’s the story:

“Powerful Game - Strategies of a Highly Successful Pickup Artist” teaches a pickup style that uses no openers, routines, or complex diagrams á la Mystery. The author, Anders Tryka a.k.a. “Dreamz”, calls this “natural game.”

The spirit of Anders’ pickup style taught in Powerful Game can be likened to the martial art of Krav Maga. Krav Maga differs from the traditional martial arts in that it is based on natural body movements, thereby making it “easy to learn, and hard to forget”. In Krav Maga you don’t learn complicated sequences of contortionist body movements, no 720 turnaround jump-kicks. You get a framework and a mindset for defending yourself, which is designed to be quickly absorbed in your body and spirit.

I see this resembled in Powerful Game, where Anders likewise provides a framework and a mindset. The book is organized in two parts. The first part explores tools for creating a great life of your own choosing. The second section has an explicit attraction focus.

I absolutely  recommend not skipping the first half of the book. Many of the concepts here come from the world of NLP: setting SMART goals, re-framing all that happens in your world to the positive, being your own authority in life (internally referencing), understanding the stages of learning, etc. These are tools for boosting your inner game. I have been working with an NLP coach for just over a year, using these very tools. I can attest that using these tools with faith will enable you to become the person you want to be. In traditional PUA-speak (which Anders is avoiding as much as possible in this book), this section shows you a way to becoming the Alpha-male version of yourself.

The second half of the book is dedicated to specific principles of attraction. There are no canned openers, routines, kiss-, phone- or f-close recipes. The verbal techniques are not phrases but patterns – and I mean easily applicable and memorable patterns. For example, on the topic of “openers” (initiating conversation), Anders teaches that it doesn’t really matter what you say. It’s all about how you say it, and how you combine statements and questions. Using these guidelines allows you to make up congruent openers on the spot. As with all concepts presented in the book, you learn the how and the why, as opposed to any canned specifically so recipes.

I especially like the book’s focus on social dynamics, which again reminds me of Krav Maga. The martial art of Krav Maga teaches spatial awareness, or “tactical behavior”. You must be aware of your surroundings to make use of them, rather than be surprised by the guy with the crowbar behind you. Likewise in Powerful Game, Anders teaches effective techniques for understanding and manipulating social dynamics. Being aware of what’s going on around you is similarly important in both arts.

In Powerful Game as in Krav Maga, you take charge: verbally and physically. For example, how do you join a group of people for attracting one of the girls in it? Groups of people can be joined by briefly breaking the group’s conversational flow, and then establishing yourself as a new member in the group. This is achieved by creating a vacuum that can be used for stepping into the group both verbally and physically (the concept of “lock-in”). As all the other attraction techniques taught in the book, lock-in (which I have tried – it’s an absolute rush when you make it happen for the first time!) is easy to learn and hard to forget.

My one point of criticism is, that the book could have used more polishing. The reading flow is broken at times by clunky sentence structure.

On the whole I wholeheartedly recommend this book – because there’s so much Krav Maga over it. This is a holistic approach to having a great life and excelling at pickup, that is easy to learn, and hard to forget.
